AUSTIN, Texas, March 3 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release on March 2, 2021:
Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed JD Robertson as the Independent Ombudsman for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department to a term set to expire on February 1, 2023. The Office of Independent Ombudsman is a state agency established for the purpose of investigating, evaluating, and securing the rights of the children committed to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
