WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 -- Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, issued the following news release:

Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) has been named a Vice Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee. As Vice Chair, Golden takes on an elevated role on the subcommittee, which oversees naval acquisition and contracts for military shipbuilding performed at Bath Iron Works, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and other shipyards across the country.
