HELENA, Montana, Jan. 20 -- The Montana Democratic Party issued the following news release:
Governor Gianforte's tax proposal is for the richest Montanans. According to the non-partisan Montana Budget and Policy Center Montana's wealthiest 1% will get an average tax cut of $1,314 annually. The top 20% would receive 79% of the proposed tax benefit.
The average Montanan would receive $1.16 per month in their paycheck and those in Montana that make less than $40, . . .
