CAMDEN, New Jersey, Jan. 9 -- American Water issued the following news release:
New Jersey American Water will replace approximately 600 feet of aging water main in Irvington starting next week. The company will upgrade the aging 6-inch cast iron water lines, installed in the 1920's, with new, 8-inch ductile iron main along Hoffman Place from Paine Avenue to the dead end. The project also includes replacing one fire hydrant and 16 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route . . .
