AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 22 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed April Farris to the First Court of Appeals, effective January 1, 2021, for a term set to expire on December 31, 2022, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified. The First Court of Appeals in Houston serves Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Waller and Washington counties.
