NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (TNSGra) -- The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation issued the following news release on Dec. 7:

Today, top federal and state environmental officials from New England and New York announced 38 grants totaling $3.8 million to local government, nongovernmental organizations and community groups to improve the health and ecosystem of Long Island Sound.
