Bacteria Direct Hawaiian Squid to Create More Inviting Home

HONOLULU, Hawaii, Nov. 25 (TNSJou) -- The University of Hawaii issued the following news release:

Bacteria living symbiotically within the Hawaiian bobtail squid can direct the host squid to change its normal gene-expression program to make a more inviting home, according to a study published in PLoS Biology by researchers at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST).
