BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, Nov. 21 -- Gov. John Bel Edwards, D-Louisiana, issued the following news on Nov. 20:

Today, in a message shared with media outlets statewide, Gov. John Bel Edwards urged all Louisianans to take COVID-19 seriously this holiday season as Louisiana enters its third surge with increasing cases of coronavirus and hospitalizations.

The Governor's office shared a letter to the editor and video message with media outlets statewide.
