LINCOLN, Nebraska, Nov. 7 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service Nebraska office issued the following news release:

November is National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, also known as Native American Heritage Month. During this month, celebrations and activities will be held nationwide and the President issues a proclamation paying tribute to American Indian and Alaska Natives acknowledging their sacrifices and service.
