Texas Gov. Abbott Appoints Three and Names Chair of Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 22 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Russell "Russ" Bartee, Ph.D., Daniel Parrish, and Jeanene Smith to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists for terms set to expire on February 1, 2025. Additionally, the Governor named Lisa Merchant, Ph.D. chair of the board. The board licenses and regulates Marriage and Family Therapists in Texas.
