AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 16 -- The Texas Democratic Party issued the following press document:
Last month, since August, requests for unemployment benefits increased both at the national level and here in Texas.
Nationally, claims jumped to 898,000, an increase of 53,000 from last week. Claims in Texas are also up by 1,097 from last week.
This all comes as the Texas Workforce Commission is set to start requiring unemployed Texans to submit job searches as part o . . .
