AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 26 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release on Sept. 25:

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that nine members of the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team (VET) and six agents from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will deploy to Butte County, California on Saturday to help care for animals displaced by the ongoing wildfires.
