Maine Democratic Party: Sen. Collins Shattered Term Limits Pledge, Once Thought Mainers Needed 'New Voice'
September 24, 2020
AUGUSTA, Maine, Sept. 24 -- The Maine Democratic Party issued the following news release:

When Senator Susan Collins first asked Mainers to send her to the Senate in 1996, she decried her opponent for having a "lengthy career in elected office" and pledged to serve only two terms in the Senate. Of course, she broke that promise long ago and is now asking Mainers to elect her to a fifth term.
