TALLAHASSEE, Florida, Sept. 21 -- The Florida Democratic Party issued the following statement on Sept. 19 by Chair Terrie Rizzo:

Yesterday, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the unemployment rate in Florida fell to 7.4 percent in August while just half of the jobs lost during the early months of the pandemic have been recovered. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity reported that there are 456,100 fewer jobs than there were in August 2019. . . .
