UVA-Developed Artificial Pancreas Effective for Children Ages 6 to 13, Study Finds

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia, Aug. 28 -- The University of Virginia issued the following news release:

An artificial pancreas system, originally developed at the University of Virginia Center for Diabetes Technology, safely and effectively manages blood sugar levels in children ages 6 to 13 with type 1 diabetes, a national clinical trial has found.
