AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 24 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following proclamation:

WHEREAS, I, GREG ABBOTT, Governor of the State of Texas, do hereby certify that Hurricane Marco and Tropical Storm Laura pose a threat of imminent disaster, including widespread and severe property damage, injury, and loss of life due to widespread flooding, storm surge, and damaging winds, in Aransas, Bexar, Brazoria, Calhoun, Cameron, Chamb . . .
