AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21 -- The Texas Democratic Party issued the following press document:
In August, federal agencies announced the federal government would be providing an additional $400 a week in unemployment benefits for households impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. That's a $200 a week reduction from the $600 a week in additional funds negotiated by Democrats for unemployed Americans that they had been receiving earlier this summer.
