JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, Aug. 17 -- The Democratic Party of Missouri issued the following statement:
The Missouri Democratic Party did not, would never, and has not terminated employees as retaliation for unionizing.
We had an employee who grossly violated employee policies and was dismissed for such. We are very proud to have the first staff union of any political party or campaign in Missouri's history.
We ratified a collective bargaining agreement . . .
