AUGUSTA, Maine, Aug. 13 -- The Maine Democratic Party issued the following news release on Aug. 12:
The Maine Democratic Party announced today that state delegates ratified the party's platform by an overwhelming margin of 83% to 17%. The new platform will stay in place until the next State Convention, scheduled for 2022.
