CHARLESTON, West Virginia, Aug. 1 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) received assurances from the U.S. Postal Service that the post office closings throughout West Virginia were a misunderstanding and there will be no post office closings at this time. However, the letter also stated that the Appalachian District identified 12 post offices for feasibility studies for potential closure and 24 locations for reduced . . .
