WASHINGTON, July 31 -- The Democratic National Committee issued the following statement by Chair Tom Perez after the U.S. surpassed 150,000 deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic:
"150,000 people have lost their lives. 150,000 of our fellow Americans are gone because of this president's failure to lead. And what is Trump focused on? Making up stories about being invited to throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium and promoting conspiracy theories and junk science from a disc . . .
