WASHINGTON, July 30 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following report on the employment and unemployment in the metropolitan area for June 2020:
Unemployment rates were higher in June than a year earlier in 388 of the 389 metropolitan areas and lower in 1 area, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. A total of 218 areas had jobless rates of less than 10.0 percent and 6 areas had rates of at least 20.0 percent. Nonfarm payroll employ . . .
