EAST LANSING, Michigan, July 16 -- Michigan State University's College of Natural Science issued the following news:
Fungi appeared on earth around 1.5 billion years ago. There may be as many as 5 million fungal species, and they are found everywhere, from the mushroom that pops up in your lawn to the food in the mold on the food in the back of your refrigerator.
