HELENA, Montana, July 14 -- The Montana Democratic Party issued the following news release:
This weekend, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos refused to say if she was still considering withholding federal funding from schools that don't reopen in the fall. DeVos' comments come despite criticism from public educators in Montana who deemed the decision a continuation of "an unfortunate history of the federal government playing a heavy hand."
