SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 11 -- Gov. Gary R. Herbert, R-Utah, issued the following news release:

Gov. Hebert issued an executive order declaring a state emergency and closing the Utah State Capitol complex due to civil unrest caused by protests in Salt Lake City.
