COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 3 -- The Ohio Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chairman David Pepper in response to the jobs report and the overall economic picture:
"Even before the coronavirus crisis hit, Ohio was struggling economically. The Buckeye State lost 12,500 jobs from January 2019 to January 2020, which made 2019 the worst year for jobs in Ohio since the Great Recession.
