ACLU: Seven Organizations Call on Governor to Repeal 'Extremely Damaging' Public Records Executive Order

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, May 29 -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Rhode Island issued the following news release:

Calling Governor Gina Raimondo's two-and-a-half-month old executive order giving public bodies extra time to respond to open records requests "unwarranted and extremely damaging to the public interest," seven media and open government organizations called on her to immediately rescind the order.
