WASHINGTON, May 28 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following statement on May 27 regarding the deaths of 100,000 Americans from COVID-19:
"We should all stop today to mourn the more than 100,000 fellow Americans we have now lost to COVID-19.
"I want to express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those we lost; their absences will be felt in our communities for years to come.
"As we pass this solemn milest . . .
