Oklahoma State Senate: Bill Raising Age for Tobacco Products to 21 Becomes Law

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, May 22 -- The Oklahoma State Senate issued the following news release:

Legislation raising the minimum age to purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21 has been signed into law. Sen. Greg McCortney, R-Ada, is principal author of Senate Bill 1423, signed into law by Gov. Kevin Stitt on Tuesday.

McCortney, chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, said the legislation ensures Oklahoma's statutes now align with the federal Tobacco-Free . . .
