BOSTON, Massachusetts, May 22 -- The Greater Boston Food Bank issued the following news release:
According to new projections released this week by Feeding America, one in 8 people (658,920) in Eastern Massachusetts is expected to experience food insecurity in 2020 as a result of the impact of COVID-19, a 59% increase over the most recent Feeding America report which showed one in 13 people (415,380) were food insecure in the region before the COVID-19 pandemic.
