CONCORD, New Hampshire, May 20 -- The New Hampshire Employment Security issued the following news release:
New Hampshire's preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April 2020 was 16.3 percent, reflecting the impact on unemployment due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and efforts to contain it. This is the highest unemployment rate in the history of the series (seasonally adjusted data are available back to 1976). This was an increase of 13.9 percentage points . . .
