SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota, May 12 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - South Dakota Field Office issued the following news release:
Based on May 1 conditions, South Dakota's 2020 winter wheat crop is forecast at 28.4 million bushels, down 29 percent from last year's crop, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Average yield is forecast at 49 bushels per acre, down 3 bushels from last year. Acreage to be harvest . . .
