Study Finds High Blood Pressure Medications Safe for Patients With COVID-19 Disease: NYU Langone Health

NEW YORK, May 2 -- NYU Langone Health, an academic medical center affiliated with New York University, issued the following news release:

Despite concerns expressed by some experts, common high blood pressure medications did not increase the risk of contracting 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19)--or of developing severe disease--in a study of 12,594 patients.
