HONOLULU, Hawaii, April 23 -- Gov. David Ige, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release:
Gov. David Ige signed an emergency proclamation declaring Kauai a disaster area, after heavy rains on Mar. 27 and 28, 2020 lead to flooding and extensive damage to public property.
The declaration provides relief for disaster damage, losses and suffering, and serves to protect the health, safety and welfare of Kauai residents.
