HURON, South Dakota, April 9 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service South Dakota office issued the following news release:

In 2019, millions of cropland acres across South Dakota went unplanted. These unplanted acres offered the perfect conditions for opportunistic species like weeds to thrive.
