PEARL RIVER, New York, March 24 -- Orange and Rockland Utilities issued the following news release:
In their continuing effort to protect customers and employees from the coronavirus (COVID-19), Orange & Rockland (O&R) and Rockland Electric Co. have halted all meter reading and installation of smart meters at customers' homes. The decision builds on steps the companies took previously to support public health and safety.
