WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
In honor of Maine's 200th anniversary, U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King authored a resolution that was passed by the U.S. Senate unanimously this week. Maine became our nation's 23rd state on March 15, 1820.
