Sen. Hassan Issues Statement on VA Barring GI Funding

WASHINGTON, March 11 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following statement on Veterans' Affairs Department announcement that it will end GI Bill payments to five colleges and universities due to deceptive marketing or enrollment practices:
"Veterans working to earn a higher education degree already face many barriers, and it is unconscionable that some educational institutions take advantage of veterans with false or deceptive marketing and enrollment prac . . .
