TRENTON, New Jersey, March 10 -- The New Jersey Assembly Democrats issued the following news:
Certain college students would be eligible to receive a one-time scholarship of no less than $500 under the New Jersey Better Educational Savings Trust (NJ BEST) program during any semester of their enrollment under legislation approved Thursday by the Assembly Higher Education Committee.
Currently, students can only apply for the scholarship during their first semester.
