BOONE, North Carolina, March 1 -- Appalachian State University issued the following university news release:
Appalachian State University has been awarded a $500,000 grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) to support scholarships for education-focused community college transfer students. Appalachian and East Carolina University (ECU) were the only universities in the state selected to receive funding.
