WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 -- Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-New Hampshire, issued the following remarks on Feb. 25:
Last night, in a speech on the Senate floor, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) condemned Republican efforts to pass radically restrictive anti-abortion legislation. Senator Shaheen's remarks came in response to a nationwide campaign by state and congressional Republicans to push forward extreme anti-choice bills that would in some cases criminalize abortions and put doctors in jail . . .
