LANSING, Michigan, Feb. 11 -- The Michigan Democratic Party issued the following news release:

Donald Trump is releasing his 2021 budget and we know he's committed to continuing his war on Medicare and Medicaid.

Trump has repeatedly promised to protect these earned benefits, including in his State of the Union where he vowed to "always protect your Medicare" while also telling CNBC that he's open to pursuing cuts to these essential programs.
