AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb. 5 -- The Maine Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chair Kathleen Marra on Feb. 4 regarding Sen. Susan Collins' announcement that she will vote to acquit President Trump at the end of a impeachment trial:
"In the last impeachment trial, Senator Collins was an outspoken advocate for more witnesses and evidence in pursuit of the truth. The Senator Collins of today enabled a sham trial and is voting with Mitch McConnell to acquit the Presi . . .
