BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, Jan. 31 -- The Louisiana Workforce Commission issued the following news release:
The initial unemployment insurance claims for the week ending Jan. 25, 2020 dropped to 1,878 from the previous week's total of 2,008. For a comparison, during the week ending Jan. 26, 2019, 1,759 initial claims were filed.
The four-week moving average of initial claims increased to 2,016 from the previous week's average of 1,914.
