University of Hawaii: Asteroids, Not Volcanoes to Blame for Dinosaurs' Demise

HONOLULU, Hawaii, Jan. 29 [TNSscientificresearch] -- The University of Hawaii issued the following news release:

Volcanic activity did not play a direct role in the mass extinction event that killed the dinosaurs, according to a recently published study by an international team of 36 scientists, including Greg Ravizza of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Department of Earth Sciences.
