WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- Rep. Donald M. Payne Jr., D-New Jersey, issued the following statement:
Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. issued the following statement about the letter from the Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. CMS officials found that the medical center's transplant program failed to fix several mistakes repeatedly and put patients in "immediate jeopardy."
