N.J. Assembly Democrats Reynolds-Jackson, Swain Bill to Establish Open Enrollment Period for State-Based Exchange Becomes Law

TRENTON, New Jersey, Jan. 17 -- The New Jersey Assembly Democrats issued the following news:

Legislation sponsored by Assemblywomen Verlina Reynolds-Jackson (D-Mercer, Hunterdon) and Lisa Swain (D-Bergen, Passaic) to ensure extended open enrollment periods as part of the state-based healthcare exchange was signed into law by the Governor on Thursday.

The bill (A-5503), now law, establishes one limited open enrollment period of not less than 90 days in the New Jersey Ind . . .
