WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 -- Rep. Albio Sires, D-New Jersey, issued the following statement after the House passed War Powers Resolution (H.Con.Res. 83) by a vote of 224 to 194:
"I voted in favor of this resolution, which I cosponsored, in order to reassert Congress' constitutional authority to declare war and authorize the use of military forces. The hostilities between the U.S. and Iran over the past few days have reinforced the need to ensure that any further military action is do . . .
