WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 -- Rep. Albio Sires, D-New Jersey, issued the following statement:
Congressman Albio Sires (D-NJ), Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, Civilian Security and Trade, released the following statement condemning the Maduro regime's effort to overtake the Venezuelan National Assembly by force:
"Having dismantled every other democratic institution in Venezuela, yesterday the Maduro dictatorship tried to seize the country's last ves . . .
