ARLINGTON, Virginia, Dec. 20 -- The National Science Board issued the following statement:
President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to nominate Sethuraman Panchanathan of Arizona, to be the Director of the National Science Foundation. Dr. Panchanathan currently serves as the Executive Vice President and the Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Arizona State University. He has served on the National Science Board since being appointed in 2014 by President Barack Obama.
